Design follows traditional automotive and truck starter clutch designs and moves the cushioning spring to the back of the shaft eliminates need for center support bearing, which reduces the occurrences of binding and dramatically simplifies the design. Large gear design (part 79-2105) is popular with custom bike builders using a 66-tooth ring gear.
